Pippos Diner in Cortez

A small restaurant alongside Main Street, that serves a variety of hearty, home style meals. The restaurant has been in business for many years and is very popular among the locals. The staff are very friendly and are attentive. They serve fresh coffee, offer daily specials and have a selection of homemade desserts like pies & cinnamon rolls. There is parking on the side and in front of the restaurant. Free WiFi available during your meal. I highly recommend this restaurant. I do warn about the size of the restaurant, but they do not come up short on the quality of their meals. Thank you Pippo's. 👍

Good hometown breakfast place. Everyone in there was very friendly.

Atmosphere was cramp, friendly, cute and fast. Employees were friendly and on their toes.Food was very delicious when it came to flavors. Blue cheese burger not what I was expecting by the look but the flavor. Wow. Bun absorb the juice of the 1/2lb meat. Onion rings were homemade. Colorado burger was outstanding. The bbq sauce exploded from under the cheese. Fries were no stop devoured. Cornbeef hash plate was cleaned by an 11 year old girl. All made from scratch, cornbeef chunks. Had biscuit and gravy on the side with scrambled eggs. No complaints there.The bathroom is a trip, a walk through the kitchen/hallway to a tiny restroom 🚻.

Probably one of my more favorite breakfast spots on town, they're hash browns and thick bacon are probably why.

We stopped by here for breakfast and had a good meal. This is an old-fashioned diner serving hearty meals (nothing fancy). The service was good and the staff friendly. My steak was a bit tough which is the only reason I did not give it 5-stars (everything else was good).

We decided to try this local breakfast spot because we were running a little late for breakfast and they served it all day...at least until 2 PM. The food was good. The portion sizes were just right. The options were many. Everyone loved their food. You must follow the yellow brick road, too!

Place was packed when we got there, we got the last table. Endless supply of coffee and their food was really good. Good food, great service, and cleanliness is a recipe for success!

I've been coming to this Cafe since I was a child. The food is always great and so is the customer service. There's always a good atmosphere here and service is always served with a smile. They also have daily specials.

Who wants to wait 30 minutes for some food or be served after everyone around you even though you were there before them.... not good if In a hurry they take to much time.

Food was delicious but need hot plates.. my eggs were cold due to cold plates. Other than that, our breakfasts were awesome!

The expression "Don't judge a book by its cover" definitely applies to the little gem! The staff and food were simply great. Breakfast and lunch only, so get there early.

.Went In @ noon & was served within 5 min..Small restaurant. I liked that. Ordered hamburger steak. It was good. Nice location. People friendly

Food was good. Prices were good, less than or equal to the major breakfast chains. I would definitely come here again. I do wish the green chillie was a bit saucier. My breakfast burrito was a bit dry because there wasn't enough sauce, just lots of the peppers. Definitely go here though! It's good!

Good food, service and a local fav.

Went to the place thinking it was a breakfast place found out it was a gossip hub. Food was pretty good but felt like an outsider with all the talk about the town.

The food is really good the staff is very pleasant until we were bombarded by Republican parade I felt like I was in a riot. Probably wouldn't go back to Cortez at all...

We came in right around 11:30 and the place was packed which we took as a good sign. This has the feel of a small town diner which I love .I got the ultimate grilled cheese and fries. The fries were the best! The perfect amount of crisp. The service was nice and polite!

Yummy breakfast. Large portions. Awesome waitress! Definitely an awesome stop! Wish this restaurant was back home!!

The Chicken Fried Steak breakfast plate was perfect and I'd definitely recommend stopping again for more! The others at my table enjoyed a series of plates including a diverse breakfast platter and another of pancakes, and all were equally enjoyed. One note is if you are sitting outside be sure to cover the benches with the umbrellas in the Summer as they can get rather hot in the sun!

Very nice little diner in Cortez. My wife and I were the only tourists in at 7am. Our waitress was awesomely friendly and attentive. My wife got (huge) pancakes she enjoyed and I loved the biscuit stack. Well worth the time and money if you're in town.

We were traveling through and stopped for a lunch break. The food was excellent and the servers and environment very nice. It was one of the times we chose wisely!

Very slow service, mediocre food, and flies

We stopped in after a day and a half in Mesa Verde National Park on our way out of the area. It's a tiny place, but we found the last available seat quickly. The service was good, and so was the food. My burrito had a good green chili sauce smothering it, which was slightly spicy. The coffee was also good, and my family said the same thing about the food...it was good. Unfortunately we didn't find anything great, but we still recommend it for a quick homemade breakfast in Cortez.

They did not have room inside to accommodate our family of 8. They were very busy, but one server agreed to serve us outside on their patio. They accommodated us and we still got great service. Will definitely go back there the next time we are in the area

Loved this little cafe. We took our food to go but the place was busy. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. We had a couple of breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious.

I had a great breakfast here with a friend. Vegetarian omelette. It was well prepared and delicious. The staff was friendly. I'll definitely visit again.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast before getting back on the road. I had the French toast special and it was delicious! Even though they were super busy they provided excellent customer service. Very friendly and quick with service.

A little neighborhood place. Simple but cute decor. Nothing fancy, but warm and inviting.Our waitress was attentive and very sweet. The menu is basic, but the food is hearty and delicious! You get way more than you expect for the price.I really enjoyed this place!

The blueberry pancakes were delicious. Light and fluffy. The people that work there were very friendly and welcoming. It will be a regular stop for me when I'm passing through.

We visited the cafe on our way to the Mesa Verde natl park. The food was very good (got the chilli Verde) and the service was very attentive. I will certainly come back again when I pass through the area.
